Peter Winslow, a life coach and the author of four books, has developed a unique program that promotes physical wellbeing through deep personal transformation. Peter Winslow applies his background in psychoneuroimmunology and clinical hypnotherapy to help clients manage their pain through mind-body connection activities such as yoga.

Practicing yoga is often recommended for people who experience chronic pain due to injury or illness. Yoga combines several activities that have been shown to reduce stress and support the body’s immune system. For example, yoga sessions often include focused breathing exercises. Deep breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which lowers the heart rate and induces a relaxation response in the body.
Yoga also increases mobility and flexibility, which is especially important for people with joint problems, such as arthritis. The positive effects of yoga can be reaped from as little as 10-20 minutes of daily practice. However, people with certain physical limitations may exacerbate their injuries by doing yoga. Before beginning yoga or any new exercise routine, it is important to consult with a doctor.
